Employer Duties:
Provide a safe and healthy workplace.
Follow Cal/OSHA safety laws.
Display this notice where workers can see it.
Maintain a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Train workers on job-specific hazards.
Fix known hazards.
Report serious injuries or deaths to Cal/OSHA within 8 hours (penalty: minimum $5,000).
Employers Must Not:
Allow unsafe work or untrained workers on hazardous tasks.
Expose workers to harmful substances without protection.
Employee Rights:
File confidential safety complaints.
Refuse hazardous work if it violates safety laws.
Access employer’s IIPP and exposure/medical records.
Speak with Cal/OSHA inspectors.
Be protected from retaliation for reporting unsafe conditions.
