City of Emeryville New Labor Laws – Effective July 1, 2025
Per Emeryville Municipal Code (EMC) 5-37
Minimum Wage (EMC 5-37.02)
All businesses must pay a minimum hourly wage of $19.90.
Paid Sick Leave (EMC 5-37.03)
Large businesses (56+ employees): 72 hours/year
Small businesses (55 or fewer): 48 hours/year
Employees may file a complaint if they:
Don’t receive the minimum wage
Don’t receive required Paid Sick Leave (PSL)
