Washington State Law says: the wages you earn while working for a church or religious organization cannot be used for unemployment purposes unless your employer has elected to provide unemployment coverage to its employees. This means you may or may not qualify for unemployment benefits if you lose your job.  If you are unsure if you are covered and want to know, ask your employer.
