Federal law prohibits job discrimination based on race, color, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, religion, age (40+), disability, genetic information, and retaliation. Employers are required by law to post this information where employees and applicants can easily see it—physically at the workplace and, if needed, digitally for remote workers.
The EEOC’s “Know Your Rights” poster explains your protections and how to file a complaint. Notices must also be accessible to individuals with disabilities and are available in multiple languages, screen-reader formats, and audio.
